ABOUT THE POSITION
California water suppliers are reaching a critical juncture to supply water with an ever increasing population. Water conservation is the most cost-effective approach in maintaining an equilibrium between supply and demand. The City of Morgan Hill is developing a cutting-edge program to conserve water by basing water rates on the actual amount of water needed to irrigate a landscaped site. This requires measuring the acreage of a landscaped site and accounting for the weather conditions to calculate actual water needed. There are over 400 water accounts in Morgan Hill that are used only to irrigate landscaping.
